We've got a way to enjoy a full library of self-help books without having to stand around in the aisle at the book store. The Self Help Classics app for your iPod touch, iPad, and iPhone gives you access to a library full of options that you can enjoy anytime you like. There are 60 titles available, all of which offer inspiration, ways to change and improve your life, and the kind of motivation you need to take charge of your own life.
When you download the Self Help Classics app you are given an instant library of 34 self-help books. These are classics that have been shown to really help people and actually have a value of more than $500. These books touch upon all kinds of different topics whether it be personal or business help/advice. They are from self-made billionaires, entrepreneurs, thinkers, and well-known authors. The books can be read in offline mode giving you the freedom to enjoy them anywhere. Even though these books are considered classic their content is still very applicable today, this is the reason they're called classics.
If you'd like to expand upon your library the app offers up to 60 books. The extra ones can be purchased in packs as an in-app purchase. These packs range in price from $1.99 to $3.99. In the app's most recent update it was made compatible with iOS 5.1, so clearly it's due for another update. It has 4.5 out five stars from users and for the most part the comments are very positive.
Enjoy an instant library
Even though the main focus of the Self Help Classics app is the content itself you are given a handful of reading tools to make the experience that much better. There is a quote marker which allows you to bookmark all your favorite quotes and passages in the book. You can go back and read through them all whenever you like and even share them with friends and family. The app supports page swiping to advance, has a bookmark tool, is able to auto-scroll, allows you to choose your font, and if you're reading in low light or at night time you can use the night mode. The progress indicator is a nice little feature that lets you know exactly how far into the book you are and there is even a text-to-speech option (this requires an in-app purchase).
