Docurama app review: watch the best documentaries in one place

Everyone loves a good documentary, but so far it's been challenging to find a way to watch them on the iPhone and iPad. Docurama is an app that will change all that.

This app features a large collection of documentaries on demand, so you never have to go looking for something to watch.

You'll find the Docurama app in the Entertainment section of the App Store, and you can download it completely free of charge.

Let's take a look at its features.

The best iPad apps for watching TV 2020

A Vast Collection

Docurama is an app that only takes up 3.4 MB of space, which makes for an easy and quick browsing experience. Documentaries are streamed to your iDevice, so the stronger your Internet connection, the smoother your experience will be.

This app is a welcome addition to the Entertainment section as it compiles some of the best documentaries out there. This includes everything from crime to feel good documentaries. All of these documentaries are segregated into categories such as Music, War and Peace, True Crime, Back to School, Arts & Culture, Biographies, and Health & Wellness.

UI and Availability

The user interface is simple and beautiful, allowing you to either browse for documentary films by category or you can choose to check out the most popular ones, or the award-winning ones. When you tap on any of the documentaries, you will be taken to a description page with a short summary of the documentary along with the run time and rating so you can make up your mind as to whether you'd like to pursue watching the film.

Docurama is a fantastic app, all in all, but it's only available in the U.S. App Store, which is perhaps its biggest flaw. It is understandable, however, because there may be copyright issues should the developers decide to make these awesome documentaries available globally.
