Get Creative with Drums

There's no need to own a drum set in order to get creative with the beats thanks to the Elastic Drums app. The app features six different synthesized drum sounds and features 10 percussion synth engines such as hit, kick, clap, snare, and more. There are 12 parameters for each of the synth engines. There is automation for each of the 12 parameters using velocity or knob recording. Part of the fun in creating these sounds is being able to share it with others which can be done by recording the audio and then exporting it to Audioshare or Soundcloud. You can also email your recordings.

There are a number of fun tools and features in the Elastic Drums app that make it possible to create all this great music. For example you've got the ability to use sound effect channels that offer 2x9 stereo effects and 2x11 mono effects. The sequencer allows for individual length and tempo multiplier, there are master effects, and automation of the eight effect parameters using the xy pad.

It should be noted that you'll need to have an iPhone 5 or higher because the app is actually generating the sounds in real-time. The iPad 1 and iPhone 4 are not recommended for use with this app. There are lots of plans for additional features and tools that will give users even more creative freedom. The user interface is quite fluid and smooth and the navigation bar along the bottom of the screen means you'll have no problems at all using this app.
