Getting Organized

The popularity of social media has exploded in the last ten years. It’s hard to believe that in 2003 Facebook and Twitter didn’t even exist. In today’s world they’ve become indispensable parts of our existence. Any app that can tap into the popularity of the social media phenomenon has a great chance of success, and that’s exactly what the developers of Itemtopia have attempted to do.

Best iphone and ipad apps

This app gives you a place to track all of your personal items in a social media format. It gives you absolute control over which items you want to make public so you don’t have to be overly worried about privacy concerns.

This app for lists is an unique and simple way to add your home and important things, then use notes (or journal) and add receipts to track the history, value, images, and expenses on these everything you add. You can add warranties, set reminders for anything and even print reports. This app has categories for your items, for people, for pets and even your services.

What’s great about this app is that Itemtopia walks you through the step by step when you run it for the first time with examples of how you use the app. It also has a Useful Tips section, as well as instructions throughout the app. The interface is very user friendly as well; anyone who’s used Twitter before will have no problem figuring out this app.

How it Works

When you open the Itemtopia app for the first time you’ll have to create your account, but this is straightforward and the only personal information you’re required to provide is an email address, which means you don’t have to enter your name if you don’t one to.

After that it’s time to start adding items to your profile. This is an easy process since all you do is tap on the add button at the bottom of your profile and fill in the details about your item. By default your items remain private until you decide to share them which is very reassuring.

There’s a section for adding details about your item, for entering purchase information, the status of the item, and any other notes you want to leave yourself. You can also add receipts for tracking purposes and videos as well if you like.

Navigation of the Itemtopia app is easy as the navigation bar is always available on the left-hand side of the app so that you can easily move back and forth between sections. The other great feature of this app is that you can also follow other people and keep up to date with any items they’ve chosen to share. This works a lot like Twitter or Facebook with a feed that constantly updates.

It’s a great way to meet people with similar interests, and you can leave comments on their posts or like an item as well.
