Pythagorea app review: complete geometric puzzles to test your mathematical knowledge-2021

Reviews

Introduction

The Pythagorea app by Horis International Limited is a cross between a game and an educational tool. To progress very far in this geometry app you’ll need to have a pretty good understanding of basic math and geometric patterns.

The best iPhone apps for learning Math 2021

This type of geometry drawing app is a great tribute to its namesake Pythagoras who was an advanced mathematician in ancient Greece well ahead of his time. Be warned, you may want to brush up on your understanding of angles and geometric patterns before you get too far into this one; otherwise, you might get a little frustrated.

In fact this geometry math game is a collection of geometric puzzles of different kinds that can be solved without complex constructions or calculations. All objects are drawn on a grid whose cells are squares. A lot of levels of geometry drawing app can be solved using just your geometric intuition or by finding natural laws, regularity, and symmetry. Pythagorea is a free app and it’s compatible with the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.

Challenge Your Mathematical Knowledge

Educational apps can be a little dry at times, especially mathematics ones. There are a few people who simply love math, but for most people it’s not the easiest subject. Most math apps are geared towards young children with the goal of improving their skills to help them get ahead in school.

These apps focus on simple arithmetic and timetables, but Pythagorea is actually a mathematics app that will actually challenge the knowledge of adults as well. It’s never too late to improve your knowledge.

There are no ads in the Pythagorea app which is positive, but it’s not without its problems. The most obvious one of these is that the developer has failed to include any kind of instructions.

The basic premise of the Pythagorea app may be pretty simple, but having no instructions at all is a little puzzling. The other thing that’s missing is any form of hints or suggestions. If you get stuck you’re just out of luck unless you want to go searching the Internet for answers.

This seems a little strange if the idea of this app is to improve your mathematical skills since it’s hard to improve if you aren’t given any direction at all.

This geometry math game works on devices with iOS 8.0 or later and is compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. You will need 95.8 MB of available memory space on your iOS mobile device to download and install this geometry app.

How it Works

When you open the app you’ll see a basic screen with a drawing of a man who is presumably Pythagoras with three main options beneath his portrait.

The first one will take you into the Game Center leaderboard so that you can see how your progress compares to others, the second one will take you to the actual challenge so that you can try your hand, and the third one is a basic settings screen with a small about us section, a rating option, and little else. That’s about all there is to it.

The actual game, or challenge if you prefer, can be played at eight different difficulty levels from very easy to impossible. It’s probably best to start off with the easiest version to get your feet wet. Once you get started the game board will feature a simple bar graph with a line drawn on it or a basic geometric shape such as a triangle.

You’ll then be given some basic mathematical instructions to complete a task before you can move on to the next level. If you’re successful the right pointing arrow will become solid and you can press it to move on, otherwise you’re stuck where you are until you solve it. Again, there are no hints to help you along the way.
