I learn app review: a fun interactive story and learning app for kids

Reviews

Introduction

I learn by Bizzibrains is a fun and interactive learning app for children between the ages of 3 and 8. What makes this one work so well is the great combination of features for children. It is a story, but it’s also so much more. There are built in lessons and teaching tools that kids can use to work on their math, spelling, and grammar skills and, best of all, your child can customize the app to integrate themselves right into the story. It’s a whole lot of fun for parents and child alike – the only thing you won’t like about this one is when you try to get them to put it away at bedtime. This app is available for purchase from the App Store at a cost of $3.99 and it’s compatible with the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch.

Learn Interactively With I Learn

Educational apps for children are some of the most popular apps for the iOS platform and they feature a vast array of choices for your children as far as learning is concerned. There are interactive story telling apps, apps for helping them practise their letters, math apps, drawing apps, and memory apps to name a few. The touch screen technology made popular by Apple and the user friendly nature of the IOS platform has made it ideal as a learning tool for children. With all the competition an app has to be a little special to stand out from the crowd and I learn delivers. This is an app your children will absolutely love.

There isn’t a lot to complain about with this app. There are no ads or in-app purchase to worry about – your child’s privacy is absolutely protected and you’ll never have to worry about what they might accidently click on as long as they’re using this app. The only real complaint I had with this app is that there is a noticeable delay as the stories' auto read feature catches up with your child’s page turning. This may seem a little annoying for adults, but for children, who aren’t generally known for patience, this is bound to be frustrating and could lead to them losing interest. This app will require 180 MB of available space on your iOS device.

The Essentials

What makes this app special are the little details. The first time your child uses the app they will get to personalize their character by selecting their name, skin tone, hair color, clothing, picture, and even a recording of their own voice to use in the interactive story. They can also include similar details for a parent and their teacher as well. This makes the story a lot more intimate for them and, of course a whole lot more fun.

As they work their way through the story they will enjoy the ability to interact with the story as they go. Some of the highlights include sections where your child can practise their math on  a classroom chalkboard, another section where your children can enjoy fun activities at recess, and the best part is that the entire story will insert your child’s recorded voice wherever their name appears and use their picture on a characters face in the story. This really is a fun one for the kids.
