LogicCity by Minds on Play LLC is a fun puzzle game that will challenge your mental abilities and help to sharpen the mind. If you love a good challenge you will definitely enjoy playing this one. With more than 100 levels to choose from you won’t easily get bored – the bigger challenge may be walking away from this addictive little app to get back to the real world. LogicCity combines simple game play with fun graphics and background music to create a winning combination suitable for anyone over the age of 9. The LogicCity is a free app and it’s compatible with the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch.
Puzzle games are always popular – especially ones that truly challenge the mind. There are certain winning ingredients that you’d expect to find in a good puzzle game such as the need to think two or three moves ahead at all times, a gradual progression of difficulty, and of course they have to be fun as well. Based on these three criteria LogicCity is a resounding success. This little time waster has a great user interface as well that makes it appealing to all age groups from children to seniors.
What’s nice about this app is that it includes easy access to instructions whenever you want them. It’s not a complicated game to figure out, but a little clarification is always a good thing. You’ll find a help icon in the top left corner that you click on at any time to get a quick refresher on the games rules. This one does include in-app purchases though in order to gain access to all levels. It also has a tendency to crash on occasion, shutting the app right down. The LogicCity app will require 81.1 MB of available space on your iOS device.
How to Play
The game features board pieces that are basic geometric shapes such as circles, squares, triangles, and stars – they’re also color coordinated. The idea is to move your pieces on to the board such that all matching colored pieces are on the same row, and such that no shape appears more than once in a row or column. It’s not difficult to do achieve either objective by themselves, but when you combine the two together it gets quite challenging.
If you find the first few levels to easy you can always skip ahead to more difficult ones – you don’t have to complete the boards in sequence which is a nice feature. The other thing to keep in mind is that you only have a limited number of moves to complete the board, so while you can move pieces freely back and forth, there are a finite number of moves with which you have to work. It all adds to the overall challenge of the game.
