Airport Zoom by FlightStats, Inc. is a comprehensive companion app for frequent flyers, short-haul, and long-haul vacationers to use on their iPad.

With this app, you will have access to detailed information on flights, such as departure and arrival times, flight status, flight routes, weather and delays at airports, and more.

To make your life that much easier while at the airport, Airport Zoom also contains maps of more than 100 airports across the US, including the locations of restaurants, stores, and departure gates. You will also find details and customer reviews on the various amenities and services available in each airport.

Furthermore, this app offers FlightStats TripTalk which will provide you with severe weather alerts, traffic alerts, parking issues, security alerts, and any other issues at your departure and arrival airports.

Airport Zoom was updated to version 1.7.1 in late-January of 2013. The current version has a total of 22 customer ratings with an average rating of four out of five stars. Customer reviews are generally very positive.

When I travel, I try to spend as little time as possible in the airports. Having said that, Airport Zoom does boast a lot of pretty useful information so I think I’ll be keeping this on my iPad for next time I fly.
