Whats the Movie?

Price: Free

Whats the Movie? by James Porter is a fun app where you have to guess the name of the movie based on only four images shown.

If you think you know your movies, then you need to try this app. You’ll earn coins each time you guess properly. Use those coins later to buy hints on hard levels, or to unlock new levels.

Movies are from the 1970's and before, the 1980's, the 1990's, and on.

You actually only get three images. The fourth image is an indicator of which era the movie was from. You do get the letters that make up the name of the movie to help as well.

This game is pretty tough. You can use your coins to get hints (tip: go through the tutorial and you’ll get 15 for free). You can then choose the era you want to play. You get one set each of '00s, 1990's, 1980's, and 1970's. You’ll have to either earn or buy coins to unlock more sets.

You can buy 2000 coins for $2.99, 500 coins for $1.99, and 200 coins for $0.99.

Whats the Movie? was updated to Version 1.01 on April 19, 2013. The update makes it possible for users with older systems to play. The current version has 271 customer ratings with an average of 3.5 out of five stars.

I think this is a really fun game, even if it is kind of hard unless you’ve seen practically every movie known to man. I like how you can post to Facebook and ask for hints.

For: iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPod touch (3rd generation), iPod touch (4th generation), iPod touch (5th generation) and iPad with iOS 4.3 or later. Whats the Movie? is optimized for iPhone 5.
