If you’ve ever tried to increase your water intake but always end up forgetting, WaterMinder is a great water drinking tracker app for setting reminders and figuring out how much water you should ideally be drinking based on your body weight so that you can keep on top of it and reap the benefits.
I feel like I’m forever reminding my friends and family to drink more water, and it’s probably gotten to the point now where people just shut off and end up drinking less because of my harassment!
I really think a water reminder app like this is a must-have for helping to improve your habits and engrain new behaviors in your mind so that you can lose weight, have more energy, and even live longer.
The easiest way of summing up this app is to say that it provides you with a quick and easy way of first determining how much water you should be drinking each day based on your body weight, and then setting reminders as often as every 90 minutes so that you have no excuses for forgetting.
Through writing notes to myself and sticking them on the wall, or setting reminders on my iPhone, I’ve learnt the incredible power of applying this kind of method and developing better habits.
Quite simply, this will work if you stick at it and consistently drink your allotted amount of water when your reminders sound. After time, you’ll be able to remove the reminders because drinking an adequate amount of water will simply become automatic to you.

In terms of WaterMinder itself, the interface is actually very nicely designed and even features some sound effects when you tap certain buttons.
The basic view will show you a silhouette of a man or woman, along with a visual representation of how much water you’ve consumed so far on a given day.
When you drink some water, you can tap the plus icon at the bottom of the screen to record it, and you’ll be given a choice of differently sized containers. You can also use the Custom Cups feature in the Settings menu to create your own containers.
