Toddlers have so much they need to learn and take in so finding ways to make the learning process engaging, fun, and satisfying to them is a key element.

I like that this app is simple and kid-friendly yet still challenges them to learn about their shapes. Even if your toddler is doing pretty well with his or her shapes this is a way to transform your child into an expert at identifying them.

Launch the app and choose which mini-game you would like to play. Choose from quizzing, flashcards, toy box, and a puzzle. There are voice instructions for each game so there is no need for toddlers to read anything.

They will be asked to find a particular shape, or touch a shape and hear its name, put together shape puzzles, and more. Plus it’s not just your basic shapes of square, triangle, and circle; kids will also learn about shapes such as stars, diamonds, crescents, and more.

The voice narration in the app is available in English, Spanish, and French. All instructions are short, direct, and easy to follow.

Keep in mind this is the free version so you are just getting a peek at the full game. If you want to purchase more packs/games/levels you can do so for $0.99 per pack.

If you'd rather, you can choose the Buy All add-on for $3.99 which is a much better value. If you select this option you will have 30 game categories with more than 1,000 objects in total. That will keep kids busy for a pretty long time.

Not every “kid” game is truly kid-friendly or even parent approved. Some you probably wouldn’t feel comfortable with your kids even playing.

This app gives you peace of mind that your toddler will not only be able to follow the instructions and play on their own, but that the content is age appropriate and educational.

You know that they’ll be busy having fun while learning a whole lot in the process, which is all Mom and Dad can really ask for.

Let the Kids Play

I don’t feel comfortable with my toddler just playing any old app and I must say this one made me feel completely confident and happy because I know he is having fun and at the same time he’s really challenging his knowledge base. The Shapes Toddler Preschool app has left me impressed.
